Yay it’s nearly Christmas – the holiday to eat too much, drink too much, spend too much and hopefully spread the joy of the season too much as well. We know this time of year tends to be hectic, while at the same time there is an air of excitement, whether it is for the first snow, plans with family and friends, or the anticipation of that famous guy in a red suit.
It has been an amazing year – one filled with amazing clients and their families, exceptional teamwork, a new office in Surrey, expansion into Abbotsford. Last, but not least our first annual appreciation event in the park. What a whirlwind of a year.
All of us at Aura Orthodontics want to wish you and your family happy holidays. We are so thankful for all of our wonderful patients. In observation of the holiday, our office will be closed December 24 – 26, December 31, and January 1st. You are welcome to leave a phone message for us, and our office will re-open on our normal schedule on January 2nd.
As a reminder should you require any emergency treatments during the holiday season, firstly consult our emergency care blog post to see if you can temporarily solve the problem yourself. Orthodontic emergencies are rare, but if you are experiencing and pain call our Surrey or Abbotsford office.
Indulging in holiday treats
We know maintaining a healthy diet over the holiday season can prove a difficult task. After all, who can resist the tasty treats of Christmas? If you must indulge in chocolate goodness this holiday season, remember to brush your teeth after eating sugary treats. Don’t forget to keep your braces shining bright by brushing and flossing. And be careful with eating nuts and candy canes- we don’t want any brackets coming off.
Spreading Christmas Spirit
In our opinion, the real joy of the Season comes in the spirit of traditions and giving. We’d love to hear about your traditions, so please share those with us by leaving a comment or letting us know when you come in for a visit.
For those looking for some inspiration about how to spread cheer this holiday season, we have some suggestions.
- Bring some coffee to someone who works in the cold
- Donate new socks or blankets to your local shelter
- Bring a meal to a family in need
- Volunteer at a local organization
The month of December really is a special month for all of us here in the office, just like we’re sure it’s a special time for you and your family as well. And nothing really quite ties in the holiday spirit like connecting with our family, loved ones, and our community.
There’s only a few more sleeps…until the big fella arrives. We’re not talking about Dr. Sharma, though he does have a way of making people smile. In that spirit, the team at Aura Orthodontics would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.
